John Alfred Wills, age 85, of Bristol, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Hospice Satilla, Waycross, Georgia. Mr. Wills was born on November 28, 1934 in Mountain City, Tennessee, the son of the late Darnell Clyde Wills and the late Mae Bell Dickson Wills.

He was a retired supervisor with the DeKalb County Water Department after fifteen years and was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force serving for twenty-one years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Johnny Wills and David Wills.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Merritt Wills of Bristol, GA; son, Eddie Steven Wills (Jackie) of Hawaii; four daughters, Rhonda Sargent (William R.) of Cumming, GA, Sherry Angela Clifton of Deland, FL, Dana D. Bowers of Bristol, GA and Crystal Dorrity Strickland (Cory) of Cumming, GA; sister, Mary Wills Block of Jasper, GA; brother, Jimmy Wills of Mountain City, TN.; fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening February 12, 2020 from 6pm until 9pm at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 11:00am at Sims Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mystic Baptist Church Cemetery, Mystic, GA.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
