Mr. Roy Allen Harrell, age 61 of Douglas, passed away Tuesday morning, February 4, 2020 at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital in Savannah following a short illness. Mr. Harrell was born July 14, 1958 to Lorine Stevens Harrell Fulghum and the late Bryant Harrell, Jr.

Mr. Harrell, a native of Homerville, had previously worked in the cabinet shop with Fleetwood Mobile Homes. He was presently employed with the Coffee County Board of Education as a porter at Ambrose Elementary School.

Survivors include: Daughter Lindsey Boone and husband Mitchell of Douglas; son Bryan Harrell and wife Leah of Douglas; partner of 27 years, Tammy Davis of Douglas; mother and step-father Lorine and William H. Fulghum of Douglas; sisters Kay Lott and husband Jerry, and Ada Harper and husband Stacy, both of Douglas; brother Glynn Harrell and wife Vermelle of Douglas; grandchildren Landon Smith, Braydon Boone and Stella Harrell, all of Douglas; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

The Funeral Service was Friday afternoon, February 7, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Allison Bramlett officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ricketson Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
