Sheila Ann Hughes, age 61, of Douglas, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Community Hospice, Jacksonville, Florida. Mrs. Hughes was born on August 12, 1958 in Sylacauga, Alabama the daughter of the late Max and Maydean Rosenow.

 

Sheila, along with her husband, owned and operated Kribs & Kradles for the past twenty years and was of the Methodist faith.

 

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, David Alan Hughes of Douglas, GA; daughter, Renae Wilson (Michael) of Dublin, GA; granddaughter, Carlyn Wilson of Dublin, GA; two sisters, Linda Coughlin (Bob) of Chicago, Illinois and Wanda Wine of Valdosta, GA; brother, Chester Bryant (Grace) of Ocala, FL; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Monday evening, February 24, 2020 from 6pm until 8pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 2:00pm at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Walker officiating with Peggy Lee giving the eulogy. Mrs. Hughes will lay in state at the church from 1pm until 2pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at Satilla Memorial Gardens.

 

Pallbearers will be Michael Wilson, Craig Wilson, David Wilson, Jeremy Stone, Jay Crosby and Bud Feiock. Honorary pallbearers will be Chamber of Commerce members, Economic Development staff, Downtown Development Authority members and Kribs & Kradles staff.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
