Grace Metts Smith, age 90, of Ambrose, Georgia died on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Smith was born on November 1, 1929 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Henry and Lucinda Daniels Metts.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gwinette Smith and a grandchild, Vann Brown.

Survivors include her daughter, Renee Brown (Warren) of Ambrose, GA; son, Rex Smith (Pam) of Ambrose, GA; two grandchildren, Amy Ables (Chad) and Clay Smith (Leann); four great grandchildren, Raven Ables, Seth Ables, Sam Ables and Adelyn Smith; one great great grandchild, Carter Goodroe; several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Walt Deloach and Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating. Interment followed at New Hope Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
