Phillip DeWillis Hurd, Jr., age 52, of Douglas, GA, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020, at Winoma MS. Mr. Hurd, Jr. was born on December 23, 1967, in Clarke County, GA to the late Phillip DeWillis Hurd, Sr. and the late Peggy Carol Seagraves Hurd.
Survivors include his daughter Grace (Chris) Key of Douglas, GA; three sons, Justin Garrett Hurd of Brunswick, GA, Jonathan McMillan of Douglas, GA, and Joseph (Shiann) McMillan of Douglas, GA; four grandchildren, Emma Grace Key, Makinley Keith Luke, Mitzi Adalyn-Rae McMillan, and Mela Lemon McMillan; one niece, Paris (Troy) Moore; one nephew, Weslee Wilson; sister-n-law Tara (Andy) Royals; father-n-law, Joe Stroud; mother-in-law, Jenell Stroud. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavonda Lee Stroud Hurd.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Southview Church of God with Rev. Byron L. Griffis officiating.
The family will receive friends, Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Southview Church of God.
