Mr. James Arlin Simmons, Sr. age 76 of Nicholls, passed away early Friday morning, March 27, 2020 at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald following an extended illness. Mr. Simmons was born February 1, 1946 to the late William Simmons and the late Cassie Spell Simmons.
Mr. Simmons had been employed in the pulpwood business for many years.
Survivors include: Sons James A. Simmons, Jr. and wife Tracy of Middleburg, FL and Davey Simmons and wife Ann of Nicholls; brothers Teeter Simmons and Britt Simmons; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
