Mr. John David Hallisey, age 63 of Douglas, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 31, 2020 at Landmark Hospital in Savannah following an extended illness. Mr. Hallisey was born December 19, 1956 to the late Robert B. Hallisey and the late Patricia C. Hallisey. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Hallisey and James L. “Jim” Hallisey.

Mr. Hallisey was a native of California. He was employed with PCC as the safety manager. Mr. Hallisey was a veteran of the United States Navy. He attended West Ward Church of God.

Survivors include his wife Patricia Hill-Hallisey of Douglas, GA; son Jonathan R. Hallisey of Panama City, FL; granddaughter Sabias M. Hallisey of Panama City, FL; brother Richard J. Newell and wife Michael of Statesboro, GA; sisters Sandra H. Williford and husband Bryant of Clyo, GA and Deon Hollis Ganz and husband Daniel of Washington State; and numerous loving nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends

A graveside service and interment will be held, Friday, April 3, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Britt Peavy officiating.

Please note that due to the restrictions placed on funeral homes by the CDC and the State of Georgia concerning COVID-19, attendance will be limited according to the provisions of the CDC requirements.

Pallbearers will be Richard J. Newell III, Gilford R. Newell, Nathaniel G. Newell, Gilford R. Newell, Jr., J. Alex Stewart and Bryant Williford, Sr.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
