Dear Community Members,
As we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the collaborative way that our community has made our fight against this virus easier for everyone. This is a new and unknown challenge, but because of your efforts, we are making our community safer and healthier. All of your many kind actions and personal sacrifices have made a difference and none have gone unnoticed.
On behalf of the caregivers and medical staff at Coffee Regional Medical Center, CRH Physician Practices, and Orthopedic Surgeons of Georgia please accept our heartfelt Thank You for the amazing support, prayers and kind words you have shared. It has meant the world to us and carried us through even the most challenging days.
I am so proud to be a part of a community that genuinely supports and cares for each other. When our first COVID-19 patient was diagnosed, our community came together in prayer. Your prayers were felt far beyond the walls of our hospital and quite literally around the world thanks to the Shine the Light Event organized by GracePointe Church and a caregiver’s shared video of OUR COMMUNITY in prayer. In addition, many locally prepared fresh meals have been organized and delivered to our front-line caregivers by caring community members wishing to reach out and show their gratitude. These meals are wonderful reminders to our staff that our community appreciates their care and is supportive of the challenges created by this pandemic. Several churches, individuals, and area businesses have come together with significant and well thought out handmade sewing and manufacturing donations to help us stay ahead of the nationwide protective equipment supply shortage. From reusable face shields, to cloth face masks, to protective gowns, to gadgets to hold those masks in place – our community has showered us with love, support, and the supplies we so needed to protect our caregivers. We have felt your care and concern and this too has carried us through even the most challenging days.
Importantly you understood the need to celebrate the recovery of our patients as well as the fact that a patient’s passing breaks our hearts. Thank you.
We still have a way to go in this fight to assure we flatten the curve and successfully reduce the number of positive cases, but I am confident that together, we will get through this. We will be here for you when we all get to the other side of this challenge and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being here for us.
Stay well,
Vicki
