Jessie Tillman ‘J.T.’ Anderson

Jessie Tillman “J.T.” Anderson, age 77, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, Georgia. J.T. was born on June 28, 1942 in Douglas, Georgia the son of the late Tillman and Opal Minix Anderson.

J.T. was a member of First Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, J.T. was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Evelyn Anderson White.

Survivors include his brother, Donnie Anderson (Brenda) of Douglas, GA; uncle, James Minix (Marlene) of Douglas, GA; nephew, Tim White (Leah) of Brunswick, GA; great nephew, Justin White (April) of Douglas, GA; great-great nephew, Landon White of Douglas, GA; special friends, Bruce and Melissa Whitley and employees of the Magnolia House; several cousins and a host of friends.

Due to the current coronavirus outbreak a private family visitation will be held with a graveside service planned for 4:00 pm Monday, April 20, 2020 at Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Marshall Adcock and Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating. Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs and comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the Coronavirus, including social distancing.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
