Mark David Smith, aged 55, passed away in his sleep on April 12, 2020, due to natural causes. He was born July 21, 1964 in California and moved to Florida as a teenager where he met Gina, a long-term partner and mother of his children. He made his final transition to Georgia, a place he could finally feel at home. He spoke often and very fondly of the kind and giving nature of Georgians.

Mark was a very kind, funny, and big-hearted man. He was most known for his love of music, particularly rock n’ roll, although he was always happy to listen to anything playing on the radio. He was also a great cook; his daughters like to reminisce about how he could turn a 50-cent burrito into a culinary work of art. For many years of his life he was a carpenter and was known as jack of all trades who could fix just about anything.

He was preceded in death by his parents, older sister Diana, and older brother Gary. He is survived by two daughters Kamilla and Chelsi, two grandchildren Dakota and Ronan, an older sister Carole and nephew Loran.

Due to the current nature of travel and gathering restrictions there will be no funeral services held at this time.

Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
