City to begin utility cut-offs Tuesday, May 5

With the re-opening of the state of Georgia, the City of Douglas is lifting its moratorium on utility cut-offs. Beginning with Utility Zone 4, utility disconnections will begin on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Customers are advised to contact the Customer Care Center if there is an ongoing issue with inability to pay their utility bill.

 

 

The following schedule will be in effect for the Utility Zones:

Zone 4 – due Monday, May 4, 2020 by 5pm. Disconnections will begin Tuesday, May 5, 2020

Zone 1 – due Monday, May 4, 2020 by 5pm. Disconnections will begin Tuesday, May 12, 2020

Zone 2 – due Wednesday, May 6, 2020 by 5pm. Disconnections will begin Thursday, May 14, 2020.

Zone 3 – due Monday May 18, 2020 by 5pm. Disconnections will begin on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

 

 

Utility customers may pay their utility bill in person at City Hall (three customers at one time allowed in lobby), through the drive thru location at City Hall, by placing payment in the outside drop box (drop box is checked throughout the day), over the phone by calling (912) 384-3302, or online at https://www.cityofdouglas.com/164/E-Commerce-Center.
