Mr. Terry “Ted” Brent Stewart, age 67 of Douglas, went to meet Jesus early Thursday morning, May 7, 2020. Mr. Stewart was born November 20, 1952 to the late Clifford and Helen Barnett Stewart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Daryl Stewart, Buck Stewart and Darlene McCurry.

Mr. Stewart, a native of Hutchinson, KS, was retired after 25 years of service as a firefighter in Kansas. He was a member of Reedy Branch Baptist Church.

On August 15, 2015, Ted started On Fire Ministries. With the Lord’s help the first meeting was held at the Coffee County Jail. This ministry truly has been a blessing from the Lord. Ted moved to Georgia from Kansas in 2008 with his wife of 34 years, Roberta (Bobbi) D. Stewart.

Survivors include: His wife, Roberta “Bobbi” Wilkin Stewart of Douglas, GA; children Lisa Tenille Liles of Colorado Springs, CO, Matthew Hamilton Stewart of Lawrence, KS, and Ryan Scott Stewart of Haven, KS; sister Barbara Hamilton of Haven, KS; brother Larry Stewart of Hutchinson, KS; five grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held later after restrictions have been removed.

The family requests that donations be made in Mr. Stewart’s memory to Hospice Satilla 808 Evergreen Way Waycross, GA 31501

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
