Ms. Marguerite Doris Erixton Morgan-Cooper, age 88 of Douglas, passed away early Friday morning at the The Landings following an extended illness. Ms. Morgan-Cooper was born June 25, 1931 to the late Earl Leroy Erixton and the late Marguerite McCumber Erixton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Morgan and their son, Roger Morgan. She later remarried Earnest Cooper, who also preceded her in death.

Ms. Morgan-Cooper, a native of St. Joseph, MO, had worked as a secretary in the insurance profession. She was a member of the Live Oak Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints. She was an active member of the church, where she assisted with the Relief Society.


Survivors include daughters Beverly Jackson of Cummings, GA and Donna Stormant of Douglas, GA; brother Bobby Erixton of White Springs, FL; eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren

Ms. Morgan-Cooper was taken to Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home in Lake City, FL. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Harris Family Cemetery in White Springs, FL.


Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the local arrangements. Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home is in charge of the Florida arrangements.
