Ruby Lee Caves, age 77, of Douglas, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020 at Vista Park Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Caves was born on October 2, 1942 in South Carolina the daughter of the late John Huey Mathews and Estelle Corbitt Mathews.
Mrs. Caves was previously an assistant magistrate court judge in Coffee County for many years.
Survivors include: Daughter, Tammy (Michael) Stone of Douglas, GA; son, Gregory Caves of Ocoee, FL; grandsons Nick (Kaylee) Mann of Alma, GA and Michael Stone Jr. of Douglas, GA; granddaughters Bree (Alex) Rodas of Atlanta, GA, Misty Stone of Douglas, GA, and Hope Stone of Douglas, GA; and a host of other friends and relatives also survive.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Estelle Corbitt Mathews; father, John Huey Mathews; and husband, J. V. Caves.
Pallbearers include George Bordeaux, Jamie Altman, Chip Spikes, Mark Spikes, Charles Roberts Jr., and John Roberts.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 11:00AM at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Cliff Kirkland and Rev. David Smith officiating.
