Delayne R. Harkleroad, age 84, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Brookdale of Columbus in Columbus, Georgia.

Mrs. Harkleroad was born on May 2, 1936, in Coffee County Georgia to the late Henry Rowell and Nessie Taylor Rowell.

Survivors include one daughter; Lynn (Kyle) Kinman of Fortson, GA, Three sisters; Eleen Mitchell of Columbus, GA, Bonnie Wells of Brunswick, GA and Henrietta Fuller of Douglas, GA; two granddaughters, Allison (Robbie) Bowden of Columbus, GA, and Becky (Richard) Kemmer of Smiths Station, AL; six great-grandchildren, Jack Bowden,  Adeline Bowden, Lawson Kemmer, Lucy Bowden, Rem Kemmer and  Roma Kemmer; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reno Fernell Harkleroad and son, Craig Harkleroad.

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday June 19, 2020 at 11:00AM at Central Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wes Brown officiating

 

In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to the Central Baptist Church, care of Jimmy Meeks, 1684 Nicholls Road, West Green, Georgia 31567

 

Due to COVID-19, attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning the containment of COVID-19, including social distancing of six feet of separation.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
