Emma Jane Chaplin Fine, age 75, of Seffner, Florida passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Sun City Rehabilitation Center, Sun City, Florida. Mrs. Fine was born on September 29, 1944 in Waycross, Georgia, the daughter of the late Vinson Kenneth Chaplin and Emma Jane Cribbs Chaplin.
Mrs. Fine was a homemaker and worked as a hotel maid and was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church, Plant City, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Virginia Carter and a brother, John Kenneth Chaplin.
Survivors include five daughters, Shelly Hall (Bradley) of Seffner, FL, Shell Chason (Steven) of Seffner, FL, Robin Martin (Greg) of Clayton, AL, Tammy Easterling (Warren) of Clayton, AL and Pamela Heath (David) of Pell City, AL; son, Robert Walter Fine of Clayton, AL; three sisters, Martha Jane Hall of Lax, GA, Vivian Chaplin of Pearson, GA and Cherrie Lawrence of Pearson, GA; brother, Kenneth Chaplin of AK; twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 2:00pm at Vickers Rural Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 12 noon until 1:30pm at Sims Funeral Home. Family will act as pallbearers. The casket will be open at the graveside prior to the service at 2pm for a short viewing.
Musical selections will be “I’ll Fly Away” and “Amazing Grace” on CD.
Due to the coronavirus, attendees are asked to comply will the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including social distancing and six feet of separation.
