Tom Jack Wooten III, age 61, of Broxton, Georgia passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Wooten was born on February 21, 1959 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Tom Jack Wooten Jr. and Eloise Henderson.

 

Mr. Wooten worked as heavy equipment operator for Wooten Contractors and attended Broxton Church of God. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Wooten.

 

Survivors include daughter, Christy Wooten of Douglas, GA; two sons, Scotty J. Wooten (Candace) of Broxton, GA and Jason Wooten of CA; four brothers, Sheriff Doyle Wooten (Linda) of Douglas, GA, Tom Gregory Wooten (April) of Douglas, GA, Ray Tanner of Douglas, GA and Donald Tanner of Douglas, GA; five sisters, Patricia Tanner of Douglas, GA, Brenda Tanner of Douglas, GA, Jeanie Paulk (Dewayne) of Douglas, GA, Denise Waldron (Bryan) of Douglas, GA and Charlene Moore (Mike) of Nicholls, GA; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 24, 2020 at 2:00pm at Broxton Church of God with Rev. Joey Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Pridgen Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Richard Wooten, Will Wooten, Dallin Wooten, Hunter Wooten, Lake Nall and Jimmy Barnett.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
