Michael John Hutcheson, 47

Michael John Hutcheson, age 47, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Mr. Hutcheson was born on March 19, 1972 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Jeff Monroe Hutcheson and Jackie E. Story Hutcheson.

 

Mr. Hutcheson worked as a carpenter in the cargo trailer manufacturing industry and was of the Baptist faith.

 

Survivors include three sisters, Teresa Jackson (Jimmy) of West Green, GA, Peggy Rutherford (Damon) of Nicholls, GA and Brenda Hutcheson of Douglas, GA; two brothers, Allen Hutcheson of Douglas, GA and Jeff Hutcheson (Evon) of Douglas, GA; two children, Jonathon M. Hutcheson and Dalton Hutcheson both of Homerville, GA; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 6, 2020 at 2:00pm at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Moore and Rev. Chris Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1pm until time of service at 2pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Pallbearers will be Tony Gaskins, Donnie Griffin, Tim Anderson, Wayne McCardy, Terry Minchew and Tim Kirkland.

 

Those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines concerning the coronavirus.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
