Mildred Pridgen Dockery, 91

Mildred Pridgen Dockery, age 91, of Broxton, GA passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Coffee Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Dockery was born on April 18, 1929 in Coffee County, Georgia, daughter of the late John Pridgen and Bessie Kight Pridgen.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Dockery, Jr.; three sisters, Lorene Brigmond, Nell McCallum and Louise McKinnon; and one great granddaughter, Lauren Alexis Aldridge.

 

Survivors include one brother, J. M. Pridgen, one sister, Martha Jean Meeks; two sons, P.L. (Barbara) Dockery and John Harry Dockery; one daughter, Myra (J.W.) Carver; grandchildren, Lisa (Troy) Aldridge, Shelby Dockery, Shannon (Mark) Davis, Henry (Jeanie) Vaughn and Zara Pritchard; great grandchildren, Kayla Aldridge (Devin) Taft, Jim Aldridge, Cameron Davis, Hannah McClelland, Frankie Vaughn, Daniel Vaughn, Hunter (Melissa) Pritchard, Zane Pritchard and Madison (Nick) Pritchard; one great great grandchild, Easton Cage Courson; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 11:00am at Reedy Branch Cemetery, Broxton, GA with Brother Don Lott officiating. Pallbearers will be Tim Meeks, Jeffery Pridgen, Hunter Pritchard, Zane Pritchard, Devin Taft and Cameron Davis.

 

The family has made a special request:  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Childhood Cancer Awareness Group of Coffee County (CCAGCC), P. O. Box 1203, Douglas, GA  31534, for which the deceased held a special fondness.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia Guidelines concerning the coronavirus.
