Lorine Tanner, age 59, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away on Friday July 10, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Tanner was born on April 17, 1961 in Tampa, Florida, the daughter of the late J.C. May and Mary Frances Mathis May.

 

Mrs. Tanner worked as a sales representative with Farmer’s Furniture. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Eston Connell Jr.

 

Survivors include her husband, Eddie Tanner of Nicholls, GA; son, Brian Connell (Brandy) of Adel, GA; three daughters, Kayla Lewis of Douglas, GA, Jessica Anderson (Steven) of Douglas, GA and Brandi Williams (Jason) of Hazlehurst, GA; eight grandchildren, Audrey Connell , Chayton Lewis, Cannen Lewis, Hattie Lewis, Wyatt Williams, Whitley Williams, Kadee Anderson and Jaycee Cain; two sisters, Janet Guthrie of Nashville, GA and Wanda Webb of Nashville, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 2:00pm at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Harper officiating.  Interment will follow at Denton Cemetery, Denton, GA. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, July 12, 2020 from 6:30pm until 9pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Pallbearers will be Alvin May, Justin Vowell, Brian Connell, Ryan Lewis, Wyatt Williams and Jason Williams. Musical selections will be “Stroll Over Heaven with You” and “Go Rest High” sung by Michael Harper.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines concerning the coronavirus.
