The Fall Semester 2020 is quickly approaching, and South Georgia State College is preparing for online classes and in person instruction to begin Monday, August 17, 2020, at the Douglas and Waycross Campuses and at the Entry Program at Valdosta State University. Time is quickly running out; now is the time to complete the application process if you haven’t already done so.

Prospective students are encouraged to visit www.sgsc.edu for information about admissions, associate and bachelor degree programs, scholarships and financial aid opportunities. Admitted students should check their SGSC student email about class schedules and payment deadlines.

SGSC planning to fully reopen this fall with the option of face-to-face, hybrid and online courses, following guidelines of the Governor’s Task Force, the Georgia Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Enhanced cleaning, social distancing guidelines, preventative measures and office space and classroom modifications are taking place in preparation for the return to campus. These measures are part of SGSC’s larger plan to create a safe and healthy campus.

As guidance from public health officials monitoring COVID-19 continues to evolve, plans are subject to change, and SGSC has developed contingency plans to quickly enact measures to manage any requisite changes.

For more information about South Georgia State College, please visit www.sgsc.edu.
