Mr. David Malcolm Medders, age 67 of Willacoochee, passed away early Sunday morning, August 9, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center, following a short illness. Mr. Medders was born September 27, 1952 to the late S.W. Medders and the late Myrtice Griner Medders. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Winifred Medders.

Mr. Medders, a native of Irwin County, was self-employed as a roofer. He was an active member of Saving Grace Ministries.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Wanda Hutto Medders of Willacoochee, GA; sons David Stanley Medders and wife Maggie of Douglas, GA and Jamey Craig Medders and wife Amy of Douglas, GA; sisters Linda Hall and husband Joe of Fitzgerald, GA and Brenda Carver and husband T.J. of Ambrose, GA; grandchildren Erica Hanna and husband Ryan of Douglas, GA, Taylor Medders of Kennesaw, GA, Brennan Harper, Brantlee Harper, Kylie Dean and Jolston Dean, all of Douglas, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and any friends.

The graveside service and interment will be held Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating.

Active pallbearers for the service will be: Eddie McKinnon, Grady Meeks, Terry English, Danny Chaney, Nathan Tarver and Scott Meeks.

Please note that due to restrictions of attendance and six feet social distancing being place on funeral service attendees by the CDC and the State of Georgia concerning the containment of COVID-19, please observe their guidelines. Please wear your mask to the service.
