Seven students have been selected as School of Agriculture and Natural Resources (SANR) Leaders at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

SANR Leaders include Chrys Kirby, an agricultural education major from Tifton; Cole Patterson, an agriculture major with a concentration in ag technology and systems management from Ty Ty; Katibeth Mims, an agricultural communication major from Donalsonville; Jamya Barnett, an agriculture major from Wauchula, Fla.; Youry Gonzalez, an agribusiness major from Douglas; Meredith McGlamory, a double major in agriculture with a concentration in animal science and agricultural communication from Rochelle; and Brittany Braddy, an agricultural education major from Mount Vernon.

SANR Academic and Career Coordinator Suzanne Bentley said the students play a key role in the growth of the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

“I am thrilled to work with our second team of SANR Leaders this academic year,” said Bentley. “These students have not only excelled academically, but through their extracurricular involvement as well.  This strong team of seven serves as the face of the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and these students have graciously stepped up to serve the SANR as well as ABAC.”

Selection for the SANR Leaders was based on grade point average, club/organization activity, and leadership skills. The members of the group will be prominent at events sponsored by the SANR, Stallion Days, and other recruitment opportunities.

“I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to serve as a School of Agriculture and Natural Resources Leader for this upcoming school year,” Braddy said. “ABAC is a small-town school with big time opportunities, and I look forward to conveying this to prospective students while advocating for our professors, students, and the curriculum.”
