Mr. Donnie Carroll Smith, age 72 of Ambrose, passed away late Tuesday evening, September 1, 2020, at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA following an extended illness. Mr. Smith was born October 24, 1947 to the late Warren Smith and the late Hortell Veal Smith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott Warren Smith and brothers Warren Winfred Smith and Keith Smith.
Donnie, a native of Coffee County, was a prominent farmer in the Ambrose area. He was a member and deacon of Wray Holiness Baptist Church. He had also served in the United States Air Force.

Great Grandchild: Dallin Smith of Ocilla, Ga

The funeral service will be Friday morning, September 4, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Wray Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Willingham and Rev. Howard Holt officiating. The interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery near Ambrose.
Musical selections will be presented by Rev. Howard Holt
