Herman Fussell, age 84, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 31 2020 at The Landings of Douglas. Mr. Fussell was born on August 14, 1936 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Ivey and Eula Harper Fussell.

Mr. Fussell was a farmer and attended Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Smith Fussell.

Survivors include his daughter, Terri D. Fussell of Douglas, GA; three step-children, Joey Anderson of Ambrose, GA, Donna Rayno of Douglas, GA and Kim Merritt of Douglas, GA; several grandchildren; sister, Margaret Merritt of Douglas, GA; special nieces, Donna Hurley (Stanley) of Ambrose, GA, Connie Smith (Louie) of Brunswick, GA and Karen Nix (Eddie Mac) of Ocilla, GA; several other nieces, nephews and relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 11:00am at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walt Deloach and Rev. David Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at Griffin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stanley Hurley, Jeremy Smith, Ronnie Harper, John Henry Harper, Verlon Harper and Gree Harper. Honorary pallbearers will be The Landings Staff and Hospice Employees.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
