Eddie D. Peterson, 71

Eddie D. Peterson, age 71, of West Green, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Peterson was born on April 27, 1949 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Albert and Ruth Courson Peterson.

 

Mr. Peterson worked as a welder with Mid-South Trailers and was a member of Lone Hill United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce P. Brown and a brother, Wayne Peterson.

 

Survivors include daughters, Michelle Jones (Chip) of Douglas, GA and Kesha Miles (Steven) of Hazlehurst, GA; six grandchildren, Keirton Miles, Ruth Ann Miles, Courtney Fuller (Richard), Amanda Merritt (Jay), Jaci Jones and Madison Jones; four great grandchildren, Aleigh Fuller, Ross Fuller, Ian Merritt and Noah Merritt; sister-in-law, Shirley Peterson of Baxley, GA.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 21, 2020 at 11:00am at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating with Miles Newton giving the eulogy. Interment will follow at Lone Hill Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, September 21, 2020 from 10am until time of service at 11am at Sims Funeral Home.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Sims Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and wear protective masks in accordance with the guidelines concerning the coronavirus.
