Lynette Story, age 85, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020. Mrs. Story was born on November 6, 1934 in Douglas, Georgia the daughter of the late Dennis Stone and Vivian Jackson Stone.

 

Mrs. Story worked as a seamstress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Waver “BoNot” Story; three children, Sandra Kirkland, Dennis Story and Janice Story; brother, Jackie Stone; and a sister, Lucille Bailey.

 

Survivors include two daughters, Pat Turner (Wayne) of Douglas, GA and Linda Hunt (Tom) of Clarksville, GA; two sons, Billy Story of Douglas, GA and Sammy Story (Sandra) of Fitzgerald, GA; brother, J.J. Stone of Ambrose, GA; three sisters, Barbara Owen of Douglas, GA, Lorene Welch of Ambrose, GA and Brenda Harper of Douglas, GA; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

 

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 4:00pm at Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Gene Chaney officiating. The visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 2:30PM to 3:30PM at Sims Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Sammy Story, Shayne Purvis, Buddy Watkins, John Williams, LaWayne Turner and David Story.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
