Clyde Harper, age 84, of Broxton, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center due to COVID-19. Mr. Harper was born on August 19, 1936 in Coffee County, Georgia, the son of the late Jesse James and Sarah Hutto Harper.

 

Mr. Harper retired from Fleetwood Homes as a project manager and was a member of Broxton Church of God where he was the clerk of the church for over 30 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Faye Harper.

 

Survivors include his wife, Tara Lynn Mason Harper of Broxton, GA; three children, Charlene Brannigan (Mike) of Warner Robins, GA, Clyde DeWayne Harper (Christine) of Broxton, GA and James Roland Harper of Broxton, GA; two step-children, Robin Hughes Middleton (Jared) of Dexter, GA and Jason Wade Hughes of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Kristin Burkett (Brandon) of Douglas, GA, Richard Young of Douglas, GA andJake Spivey of Broxton, GA; two step-grandchildren, Caleb Middleton and Jesse Middleton; four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

 

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 11:00am at Broxton Church of God cemetery with Rev. Milton Pate, Rev. Joey Copeland and Jared Middleton officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, September 23, 2020 from 6pm until 9pm at Broxton Church of God. Pallbearers will be Wayne Nall, Wayne Smith, Marvin Knight, Brandon Burkett, Mike Brannigan, Gordon Carver and Jake Spivey.  

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and wear protective masks in accordance with the guidelines concerning the coronavirus.
