David Wayne “Crockett” Hartley, age 55, of West Green, Georgia passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020, at his residence. Mr. Hartley was born on August 14, 1965 in Orange County, Florida the son of the late Jackie Lee Hartley and Betty Lou Davis Hartley.

 

Crockett worked with Boatright Trucking as a truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.

 

Survivors include: Daughters, Tiffany (Rex) Sanders of Roopville, GA, Nikki (Tony) Michael of Ocoee, GA, and Cheyanne Williamson of FL; sons, David Wayne (Brittany) Hartley, Jr. of Carrollton, GA and Dustin Hartley of Arkansas; sisters, Sandra Hartley of Mt. Dora, FL and Betty Jo Young of FL; brothers, Jack Hartley of Umatilla, FL, Donnie Hartley of Jacksonville, FL, Jackie Hartley, Terry Horner, and Russell Lynn; grandchildren, Hunter, Tyler, Preston, Lexie, Camdon, Kayden, Jaxson, Sydney, Skyler, Shayla, Justice, Jade, Aria; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Pastors Gregory and Jackie Pope officiating.

 

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Sims Funeral Home, 201 N Peterson Ave., Douglas, GA 31533. For those who would like to donate, you can donate in person, by mail, by phone call, or you may utilize the donations tab on Mr. Hartley’s obituary page.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
