Dolphine Anderson, age 87, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Bacon County Hospital. Mrs. Anderson was born on October 16, 1933 in Toombs County, Georgia the daughter of the late Noble M. Whitaker and Julia Belle Sellars Whitaker.

 

Mrs. Anderson was a retired seamstress working for Streat Garments and was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church, Nicholls, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Buster Anderson; brothers, Edgar Whitaker, John M. Whitaker and Russell Whitaker; and sisters, Louise Mixon, Virty Nell Morgan and Geneva White.

 

Survivors include daughter, Susan Davis (David) of Alma, Ga; son, Donnie Anderson (Angel) of Nicholls, GA; five grandchildren, Kyle Davis, Evan Davis, Brittany Anderson, Brianna Anderson and Brayden Anderson; one great grandchild, Avery Anna Davis; other family and friends.

 

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 2:00pm at Hall Cemetery with Rev. David Davis officiating with Donnie Anderson giving the eulogy. Pallbearers will be Ricky Hersey, Mickey Anderson, Richard Sheffield, Tim Lewis, Barry Whitley and Sammy McElroy.

 

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 1pm until time of service at 2pm at Dry Creek Baptist Church. Music will be provided by Amy Garner singing “I Will Rise” with CD backup.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
