Melba Jimenez, age 80, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Navcent Hospital, Macon, Georgia. Mrs. Jimenez was born on August 13, 1940 in Ocilla, Georgia the daughter to the late Willis Lott and Lura Carver Lott.

 

Mrs. Jimenez was retired from PCC after 18 years and was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include her husband, Paul Jimenez of Douglas, GA; two daughters, Paula Burns (Mike) of Warner Robins, GA and Sheri Dees (Danny) of Willacoochee, GA; son, Joseph Jimenez of Douglas, GA; six grandchildren, Timmy Swift, Tommy Swift, Dane Caskin, Christopher Grantham, Sonya Powell (Marvin) and Jacob Dees; eight great grandchildren, Taylor Swift, Kylan Swift, Jayden Smith, Riley Swift, Jayden Smith, Ashton Grantham, Aiden Grantham, McKenzy Powell and Paisley Powell; brother, E.D. Lott of Willacoochee, GA; sister, Winnell Whitley of Alapaha, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 3:00pm at Hebron Church Cemetery with Rev. Casey Wright and Rev. Willie Wilson officiating. Pallbearers will be Jonathon Lott, Marvin Powell, Timmy Swift, Tommy Swift, Jacob Dees and Calguar Lott.

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 2pm until 3pm at Hebron Baptist Church.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
