Dr. John Lamar Clough, age 82 of Douglas, GA passed away Saturday morning, November 14, 2020 at 1025 North Chester Avenue following an extended illness. Dr. Clough was born April 9, 1938 to the late Floyd Lamar Clough and the late Roxie Mae Herring Clough. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Jo Smith Clough.
Dr. Clough, a native of Starke, FL, was a Southern Baptist minister with the Smyrna Baptist Association.

Son: Stanley L. Clough and wife Fara of Broxton, GA
Grandchildren: Elizabeth Taylor and husband Josh of Broxton, GA
Katie Thompson and husband Denton of Douglas, GA
Nathan Clough and wife Amelia of Broxton, GA
Sister: Iris M. Clough of Douglas, GA
A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The funeral service will be Tuesday afternoon, November 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Dr. Shep Johnson and Dr. Ray Coleman officiating. The interment will follow in Douglas City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers for the service will be: David McDonald, Danny Hadsock, Joe Cason, Roger Johnson, Tony Grantham, Van Grantham, Zip Grantham, Tullis Allen and Marcus Ricketson
Honorary pallbearers for the service will be: Ministers of the Smyrna Baptist Association.
Musical selections will be furnished by B.J. Holliday.
