Charles Richard Hester, age 71, of Broxton, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Hester was born on February 28, 1949, in Douglas, GA to the late O. V.  Hester and Maude Stone Hester.

 

Survivors include: Wife, Lawanda Brown Hester of Broxton, GA; sons, Aaron (KaHyn) Hester of Broxton, GA and Christopher (Stephanie) Youngblood of Broxton, GA; sister, Betty Brannon of Washington, GA; grandchildren, Ellie Youngblood of Broxton, GA, Ean Youngblood, Allison (Shannon) Spivey of Douglas, GA, Tanna (Josh) Oglesby of Douglas, GA, Josh Meeks of Douglas, GA, Joseph Meeks of Douglas, GA; several, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, O. V. Hester; mother, Maude Stone Hester; and brothers, Jack Hester, Hollis Hester.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm at Sims Funeral Home. 

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 4:00 pm New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with  officiating.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. request attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
