Betty Long, age 71, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Friday December 4, 2020. Mrs. Long was born on April 28, 1949 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late LeeRoy Taylor and Elsie Nora Mobley Taylor.

Mrs. Long worked as a loan officer with First Franklin Financial and was member of Reedy Branch Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dani Lynn Sears.

Survivors include two daughters, Amy Sears of Hazlehurst, GA and Kim Moore (Bryan) of Douglas, GA; two sisters, Miriam Corbitt (Ken) of Broxton, GA and Teresa Burke (George) of Wray, GA; brother, Glenn Taylor (Regina) of Wray, GA; three grandchildren, Blake Moore, Ansley Miller and Dalton Sears; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Sunday December 6, 2020 from 11am until time of service at 1pm at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday December 6, 2020 at 1:00pm at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Tracy Burke officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bryan Moore, Tracy Burke, Blake Moore, Logan Miller, Hunter Taylor and Walker Taylor.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade facemasks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
