Dear Citizens of Douglas and Coffee County,

Coffee Regional Medical Center continues to put you, our patients and community, at the center of our care, and we always will. Our caregivers are working tirelessly to ensure that all of our patients are cared for with the dedication and compassion you have come to expect from us. Our frontline caregivers are true heroes, we are all so thankful for what they do each day.

Like our community Coffee Regional Medical Center has experienced an increase in COVID-19 positive patients. Our frontline caregivers, our physicians and our entire team ask that you please continue to do your part to reduce these numbers and slow the spread of COVID-19. We have had to temporarily re-implement the visitor restriction policy that was put in place earlier in our fight against Covid-19. We make this kind of change carefully, for as short a period of time as possible and only to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors and staff.

We know everyone is tired of taking precautions. We understand that the pandemic is not easy, but neither is becoming ill with the virus. CRMC encourages every community member to please continue using caution when outside of your home or when around others who live outside of your home. Please wear a mask, wash your hands and maintain at least 6-feet between yourself and others. This really is the best way to ensure we all stay safe. If you are experiencing any signs of illness, please stay home and self-isolate.

If you suspect you or a loved one may have COVID-19 please access: www.coffeeregional.org/coronavirus to find out how to obtain a free test from the Georgia Department of Public Health. If we all take precautions, together we will prevent greater numbers of hospitalizations and deaths. Thank you for helping our caregivers and each other stay safe. We all want to keep our community well.

On behalf of our entire team please stay well,

Vicki Lewis, President & CEO
