James Alvin Davis, 81

Mr. James Alvin Davis, age 81 of West Green, GA passed away Monday afternoon, December 14, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Davis was born September 5, 1939 to the late Hiram Davis and the late Sally Rachael Hartley Davis. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Frances Zanders Davis.

Mr. Davis, a native of Atkinson County, was a farmer by trade. He attended West Green Baptist Church.

Survivors include:

Children: Alvin Davis and wife Debbie of Douglas, GA
Randy Davis of West Green, GA
Louise Ortiz and husband Reinaldo of Douglas, GA
Michael Davis and wife Angie of West Green, GA

Special friend: Kathy Hartley of West Green, GA

16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren

Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends

The graveside service and interment will be Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 12:30 P. M. at Full Gospel Tabernacle Cemetery near West Green with Rev. Jason Hayes officiating and a granddaughter, Brandi Maze, presenting a eulogy.

The family will receive friends Wednesday morning, December 16, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers for the service will be: Timmy Davis, Jose Ortiz, Zachary Ortiz, Adam Kerns, Allen Davis, Derrick Davis, David Maze, Wade Carver, Anthony Davis, Jonathon Ortiz and Daniel Davis.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Comfort Care Hospice.

Please note: Due to COVID-19, attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the graveside service and interment. Please wear mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines. We do not furnish masks.
