Mr. Willard “Will” Hope, age 70 of Douglas, passed away Friday afternoon, December 18, 2020 at Landmark Hospital in Savannah, following an extended illness. Mr. Hope was born June 12, 1950 to the late Ray Hope and the late Zelda Carver Hope. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Dan Hope, Lynn Hope and Rob Hope.

Mr. Hope, a native of Coffee County, had been the manager with Dollar General.

Survivors include:

His wife: Patricia Childers Hope of Douglas, GA

Children: Michael W. Hope and wife Sheri of Leesburg, GA
Cari L. Milton and husband Damon of Australia
Kimberly Marschal and husband Chris of Willacoochee, GA

Brother: Millard Hope of Broxton, GA

Sisters: Judy Kirkland of Warner Robins, GA
Pat Hope of Broxton, GA

11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren

Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends

The funeral service will be Monday, December 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Swanson officiating. The interment will follow in Douglas City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, December 20, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers for the service will be: Danny Hope, Christopher Hope, Michael Hope, Zach Jones, Richard Meeks, Billy Marschal

Honorary pallbearers will be Mandy McNiell and Matt Morris

Please note: Due to COVID-19 attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the visitation, funeral service and interment. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines. We do not furnish masks.

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
