Donald Vernon Dibble, age 85, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Dibble was born on November 19, 1935 in Park River, North Dakota the son of the late Byron Dibble and Lena Ehlert Dibble.

 

Mr. Dibble retired from CSX as a lineman and was a member of Douglas Christian Fellowship. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lizzie Dianne Richardson Dibble.

 

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Dibble of Jacksonville, FL and Eric Dibble of Douglas, GA; two daughters, Sherri O’Steen of Jacksonville, FL and Debbie Dibble of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren; three brothers, Glenn Dibble of Jacksonville, FL, Gloren Dibble of Jacksonville, FL and Dennis Dibble of Montana; four sisters, Myrna Dibble of Jacksonville, FL, Ellen Ferrell of Cairo, GA; Dorian Dibble of Montana and Marion Dibble of Montana; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the graveside.

 

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 2:00pm at Riverside Cemetery, 1600 Riverside Rd, Nashville, GA,  with Rev. Heath Wingard officiating. Musical selections will be “Go Rest High on that Mountain”, “Beulah Land” and “Good Good Father” all on CD.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
