Teresa Marks, age 62, of Broxton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Candler Hospital, Savannah, Georgia. Mrs. Marks was born on October 5, 1958 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Paul and Lucille Langford Banks.

 

Mrs. Marks worked as a caretaker with Fair Haven/Shady Acres Nursing Home and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Marks.

 

Survivors include daughter, Carmen Wheeler (Leon) of Nicholls, GA; three grandchildren, James Clinton Porter, April Shiann Porter and Sarah Nicole Porter; six great grandchildren, McKenna Porter, Kohen Porter, Piper Cornett, Caroline Cornett, Adam Cornett and Evelyn Beard; two sisters, Debbie Banks of Douglas, GA and Barbara Banks of Willacoochee, GA; brother, Randy Banks of Nicholls, GA; several nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon, December 29, 2020 from 1pm until time of service at 2pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 2:00pm at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Chaney officiating. Interment will follow at Roxie Mae Church Cemetery.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
