On December 4, 2020, Coffee County deputies responded to a call about a possible child molestation. A detective with the Coffee County Criminal Investigations Division responded. Investigators have charged Carlos Morales, 30, of Douglas with child molestation. Morales had been arrested earlier in December by investigators with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division after an investigation into a previous accusation of child molestation. In that case Morales was charged with aggravated child molestation and three counts of child molestation. He was denied bond by the Coffee County Magistrate Judge in that case and was in the Coffee County Jail. Morales has also been denied bond on the new charge of child molestation.

On December 9, 2020, the Coffee County Criminal Investigation Division began investigating several cases involving forgery of checks. The forgeries involved the loss of more than $3500. As a result of the investigation, three individuals were arrested with a fourth still being sought. The individuals arrested are Breauna Marie Bello, 19, of Nicholls. She was charged with two counts of forgery 4th degree. Justin Andrew Taylor, 20, of Nicholls was arrested and charged with two counts of forgery 4th degree, and Allen Brantley, 18, of Nicholls was arrested and charged with one count of forgery 4th degree.

All three made their first appearance bond hearing before the magistrate judge and were granted bond. All three have bonded out of jail. The fourth person that is still wanted is Jamie Wren. If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Wren please contact the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.
