Mr. Frank Monroe Hutcheson, age 97 of Douglas, passed away early Sunday morning, January 10, 2021 at The Landings following a short illness. Mr. Hutcheson was born March 21, 1923 to the late Sammie Hutcheson and the late Addie Johnson Hutcheson. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by Lucille Hutcheson, Mother of his only daughter, Jane Carver; sisters, Pauline Parsons, Ann Sweat and Sallie Swinehart; brother, J H Hutcheson; and step-daughter, Sylvia Carr.
Mr. Hutcheson, a native of Coffee County, was self-employed in the dirt hauling business for many years. He was a United States Veteran of World War II having served in the Army. He was a member of the Mason’s, American Legion, VFW, and Woodman of the World.

Great-grandchildren: Ian Nugent of Columbus, GA

Walker Nugent and Carson Nugent, both of Douglas, GA

The entombment service will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Douglas City Cemetery with Ms. Susan Rockett. A grandson, Ian Nugent, will present a eulogy.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made in Mr. Hutcheson’s memory to Childhood Cancer Awareness Group of Coffee County PO Box 1203 Douglas, GA 31534
Active pallbearers for the service will be: Ian Nugent, Walker Nugent, Carson Nugent, Aaron Thompson, Mason Van Hove, Robby Carr and Larry Hutcheson.
