Peggy Cato, age 75, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Mrs. Cato was born on June 4, 1945 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Warnock and Louise Cliett Warnock.

 

Mrs. Cato was a retired seamstress working at Fleetwood Drapery and was a member of Saving Grace Ministries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Scott Raymond Cato and a grandson, William Shane Bowen.


Survivors include her husband, Raymond Cato of Douglas, GA; daughter, Katrece Duel (Larry) of Douglas, GA; brother, Roy Warnock (Donna) of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Rhonda Baier (Keith) of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 12 noon until 1:45 pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Broxton City Cemetery with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Pallbearers will be Doug Pridgen, Andy Pridgen, Dusty Pridgen, Keith Roberson, Don Merritt, and John Murphy.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Homestead Hospice, Tifton, GA.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
