Mr. Jody Lee Steverson, age 35 of Douglas, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Community Hospice and Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, FL following an extended illness. Mr. Steverson was born, January 27, 1986 to Bobby Lee Steverson and Sherry Peterson.

Mr. Steverson, a native of Douglas, was employed in road construction.

Survivors include:

Children: Bryson Steverson, Rayne Steverson, and Harley Steverson all of Douglas, GA

Father: Bobby Lee Steverson and step-mother, Brandi Steverson of Douglas, GA

Mother: Sherry Peterson of Hazlehurst, GA

Brothers: Shane Steverson and Dustin Steverson both of Hazlehurst, GA

Sisters: Emily Jordan and Angel Anderson both of Douglas, GA

Several other relatives also survive.

The graveside service and interment will be Friday, February 19, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Lone Hill Cemetery near West Green with Rev. Craig Jump officiating.

The family will receive friends, Thursday evening, February 18, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers for the service will be: Bobby Lee Steverson, Bryson Steverson, Steve Lott, Brandon Selph, Zachery Bowen and Shane Steverson.

Due to COVID-19 all attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the visitation, graveside service and interment. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
