Michelle Devon Williams Paulk was born on January 28, 1975, to the late Constance Z. Williams and James Williams in Coffee County, Georgia. She was affectionately known as “Chelle.” She was the oldest of eleven children.

Michelle Williams Paulk graduated from Coffee High School in 1995. She received her nursing degree from Wiregrass Technical College in 2009. Mrs. Paulk worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for several years. She married the love of her life, Michael Paulk, on March 18, 2000. Upon this union, three children were born. After marriage to Bro. Michael, Michelle connected with the Hightower Memorial Temple Church Family under the leadership of Pastor Frank Bussey, Sr. and continued with Pastor Randolph Scott. She was dedicated to her calling of working with the youth, ensuring that her children and all youth were respected and trained the right way. She loved to work on projects to support the Youth for the Youth Conventions and other activities.

Sis. Michelle led by example because she was an active participant in many areas. She would be in church singing alto in the choir and would leave out to help on the Hospitality Committee to serve the guests and members. As a Praise Dancer, she exemplified there was no challenge that she couldn’t overcome. Sis. Michelle Paulk transitioned this life from earth to Glory early Monday, February 22, 2021. She will be sorely missed, but we don’t grieve as anyone who has no hope. For if we die in Christ, we shall see her again.

She was preceded in death by three aunts: Bernice Z. Warren, Annie Joyce Williams, and Iola Smith; mother-in-law: Sylvia Paulk. She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving husband: Michael Paulk Sr.; three children: Michael Paulk Jr., Maquavius Paulk, and Nicole Paulk, all of Douglas, Georgia; three grandchildren: Ciara Paulk, Kilea Paulk, and Charles Paulk, all of Douglas, Georgia; three sisters: Sandra Jones of Macon, Georgia, Tammy Williams of Douglas, Georgia, Shenethia Williams of Valdosta, Georgia; seven brothers: Antonio Jones of Atlanta, Georgia, Kwaski Williams, and Ricky Williams both of Douglas, Georgia, Russ Bailey of Columbus, Georgia, Michael Williams and Jermaine Hutto of Valdosta, Georgia, and Reginald Lane of Ocilla, Georgia; one sister-in-law: Renee Pierce of Montgomery, Alabama; one brother-in-law: Kenneth Paulk of Douglas, Georgia; father-in-law: John Wesley Pierce of Douglas, Georgia; two special cousins: Greg Zachery and Lorenzo Zachery; sixteen aunts; seven uncles; god-mother: Iris Robinson; special friends: Styles family, Randy (Yolanda) Stevenson, Briana Arnold; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
