The City of Douglas will hold a community housing meeting and accept housing applications for its proposed FY’ 2021 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) at a special meeting that will be held at Young’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (710 Shirley Avenue, Douglas, GA) beginning at 5:00pm on March 11, 2021. Application intake will begin at this meeting and continue until filled for those owners within the following neighborhoods only:
Proposed Fy’21 CDBG Project Area (may change): Part of the area commonly knows as the “Mill Quarters”, roughly bounded by W. Bryan Street on the North; S. Grady Avenue on the East, West Baker Highway on the South, and Kennedy Circle on the West. A map is available to determine if you are in this area.
Assistance may be provided after this meeting by completing an application at the City of Douglas Community Development Department (Ashley-Slater House, 211 S. Gaskin Ave., Douglas, GA 31533) with application intake continuing until filled. Applicants that came to the January 14, 2021 meeting are included and do not need to submit another application.
