Mr. Christopher Vawn “Spanky” Luke, age 45 of Nicholls, passed away late Wednesday night, March 3, 2021 at Navicent Health in Macon due to injuries received in an automobile accident. Mr. Luke was born March 21, 1975 to the late Lavawn Luke and the late Shirley Ann Raper Luke.

Mr. Luke, a native of Coffee County, was employed with American Truck Parts as a wrecker truck driver. He was also a farmer and a member of Young Farmers Association. He was a member of Pineview Church of God in West Green, GA

Survivors include:

His wife: Angela Renee Lewis Luke of Nicholls, GA

Children: Aaron Teston and wife Katie of Nicholls, GA
Maggie Luke of Nicholls, GA

Grandchildren: Deklan Teston and Asher Teston both of Nicholls, GA

Brother: Greg Luke and wife Peggy of Douglas, GA

Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends also survive.

The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon, March 07, 2021 at 3:00 PM at West Ward Church of God with Bishop Craig Jump and Bishop Britt Peavy officiating. The interment will follow at St. Luke Cemetery in Berrien County.

The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, March 7, 2021 at West Ward Church of God from 2:00 PM until the time of the service at 3:00 PM.

Musical selections for the service will be: “I’ve Never Been so Homesick Before” and “Lead Me Home” sung by Gayland Collins with Marcia Gilliard at the piano, “Will the Circle be Unbroken” as a congregational hymn with Robyn Vickers at the piano and “Simple Man”. Robyn Vickers will render soft hymns for pre-lude and post-lude.

Active pallbearers for the service will be: Chad Spivey, Frankie Teston, Michael Courson, Nick Crews, Robert Preston, Chuck Wilson, Josh Coleman and Blake Stewart.

Honorary pallbearers: American Truck Parts Employees, JMC Tire Company Employees, Jerry Hester, Ted O’Steen, Wade Burkett, Andy Smith, Members of West Baptist Church, Members of West Ward Church of God, Members of Pine View Church of God, Members of Coffee County Young Farmers.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made in his memory to Pine View Church of God Building Fund PO Box 283 West Green, GA 31567 or to West Ward Church of God Building Fund 700 West Ward Street Douglas, GA 31533.

Due to COVID-19 all attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the visitation, funeral service and interment. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines.
