Mr. Alvin Leon Ellis, age 56 of Douglas, passed away Sunday morning, March 7, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Ellis was born November 1, 1964 to Josephine Allen Ellis Wooten and the late Johnnie Ellis. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Allie Ellis.
Mr. Ellis, a native of Coffee County, along with his wife Tammie, were the owners and operators of Lillie’s Cafe in Douglas. He was a member of West Ward Church of God.

Children: Keagan Ellis and wife Ashlee of Ambrose, GA
Gabby Ellis of Douglas, GA
Brother: Arvin Ellis of Douglas, GA
Sister-In-Law: Brenda Ellis of Nicholls, GA
Granddaughter: Aubree Ellis of Ambrose, GA
Several friends and other relatives also survive.
The funeral service will be Tuesday afternoon, March 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM at West Ward Church of God with Bishop Britt Peavy officiating. The interment will follow at Satilla Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM at West Ward Church of God.
Active pallbearers for the service will be Jamie Altman, Greg Harrell, Alvin Carver, Chip Spikes, Connor Farabow, Lane Bailey, John Bailey, Josh Ellis and Greg Griffis.
Due to COVID-19, all attendees are asked to observe the six foot social distancing at the visitation, funeral service and interment. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines.
