Debbie Darleye Walsh, age 59, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Kindred of North Florida, Green Cove Springs, Florida. Ms. Walsh was born on January 23, 1962 in Douglas, Georgia, the daughter of Judy Lou McMillian Roberson and the late Lyman Walsh.

 

Ms. Walsh worked as a paraprofessional with the Coffee County School System and was of the Baptist faith.

 

Survivors include daughter, Jasmine Evers (Ricky) of Nicholls, GA; mother, Julia Roberson of Waycross, GA; brother, Ray Walsh (Kathy) of Broxton, GA; niece, Rahia Walsh; nephew, Andrew Walsh.

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, March 17, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Dry Creek Baptist Church, Nicholls, GA with Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Hall Cemetery. Ms. Walsh will lay-in-state on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.

 

Pallbearers will be Ricky Evers, Zach Wilkins, Brett Smith and, Demory Meeks.  

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
