Glenda Daniels, age 102, of Douglas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 19, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Daniels; her son, Mike Daniels (Jonna); her parents, C.J. and Frances Traynham; her brothers, Alva Traynham (Lois) and Harold Traynham (Eunice).

She is survived by her granddaughter, Crysta Trull (Michael); grandson, Josh Daniels (Crystal); and great-grandchildren, Nathan Trull, Timothy Trull and Peter Trull.

Glenda was a well-known local artist. She was known for her oil paintings of rural and nostalgic scenes. Many of her paintings hang around the city of Douglas. She was a longtime member at First Baptist Church of Douglas and served the church in many capacities.

Her family will celebrate her life with visitation on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 10-11 AM at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with her service beginning at 11 AM. Burial will follow at the City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Annie Armstrong Easter Offering to support missions.

Glenda’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Kristy Nugent, Glenda’s caregiver and friend for the last 12 years. She has been a tremendous blessing to Glenda and to her family. They would also like to thank the patient and caring people at Tender Care and Bethany Hospice for their support and kindness over the last years.

Active pallbearers will be Joe Traynham, Jeff Traynham, Pong Holton, Nathan Trull, Timothy Trull, and Peter Trull
