Two would-be thieves and another individual were arrested recently following two extremely botched criminal incidents.

Coffee County detectives responded to an address off Ga. Hwy. 32 East on March 12 to investigate a possible burglary. When they arrived, authorities immediately observed a vehicle in the yard that had bogged down behind the residence. Further investigation revealed the vehicle contained several items that had been reported stolen from the home and an outbuilding on the property.

Detectives learned the vehicle was registered to Michele Adams of Coffee County, who authorities also discovered had attempted to report the vehicle stolen to a Bacon County law enforcement officer.

At the time of the initial burglary, one of the suspects also went onto a property across the road and committed a theft.

After a brief investigation, detectives determined that Adams, Jay Carroll Ferqueron of Coffee County, and Timothy Luther Hutchinson, also of Coffee County, were responsible for the incidents.

As a result, Adams was charged with criminal trespass.

Hutchinson was charged with burglary in the first degree and burglary in the second degree.

Ferqueron was also charged with first and second degree burglary and faces an additional charge of entering an automobile.
